International Studies in Sociology and Social Anthropology is a peer-reviewed series. Through the publication of original manuscripts and edited volumes, it explores the relationships between civil society, the state, and the structures and institutions spanning both. Social science is the branch of science devoted to the study of human societies and the relationships among individuals within those societies.
